Spyder V

With an innovative new print head array, the Spyder V printer challenges production print speeds by delivering high quality at high speed. Spyder V is designed to offer higher throughput utilising the highly popular Spyder platform and sits comfortably at the top of the productivity charts when compared with competitor platforms in its class. The Spyder V also offers the usual benefits of white and Ultratone inks up to 6 colours.

Features

Spyder has become the benchmark platform for mid-range UV flatbed production. As the first printer with a static bed design, launched in 2004, Spyder’s longevity and popularity is proven by hundreds of installations worldwide.

Designed for ultimate flexibility, the massive 3.2 x 1.6m vacuum bed can handle any-size single to multiple tiled sheets up to 80kgs and 30mm thick, printing full-bleed edge-to-edge images at the touch of a button.

Precision at speed
Spyder’s print carriage sprints silently back and forth on air-bearings moved by linear motors for precise control at speed. The print modules which utilise Fujifilm Dimatix print heads deliver tiny 10-28 picolitre drops at pinpoint accuracy across the whole bed producing smooth gradients and solids. Automated print head maintenance gives consistent, reliable performance and ensures optimum printhead life without the need to purge.

Easy operation
Spyder’s compact design and small footprint fits neatly into any production environment. Its accessible open design makes it easy for the operator to work the bed and handle media. The interface and pre-press setup is simple, on-hand and very user-friendly.

Industrial build quality
At 2500kg, Spyder’s build quality is uncompromised. With a fabricated steel framework, the Spyder is the heaviest in its class. It is fit for an industrial environment and delivers years of reliable service,
ensuring maximum return on investment.

Award-winning ink system
Fujifilm Sericol’s award-winning Uvijet inks enable you to print on a broad range of PoP materials, and the white ink option provides further flexibility on more interesting media like wood, metal, clear and coloured materials.

With the Uvijet Ultratone ink system, Spyder V is armed with an extra-wide colour gamut, producing the most vivid, exciting UV inkjet images possible, and allows you to match PANTONE®* and house spot colours.

* PANTONE® is the property of Pantone, Inc.
