Komori Workshop 07
PRO-T and PressMax perform at industry showcase
The PRO-T processless plate and the PressMax range of pressroom chemistry were the highlights of Fuji's presentations at Komori Workshop 07, held at the press manufacturer's Leeds showrooms in October. The annual event featured 20 vendors and attracted visitors from as far away as Scotland.
Interest in Fuji's PRO-T processless plate was high and three trials are to be held following demonstrations at the Workshop, two at B2 printers and one at a B1 site.
"The good thing about this show is that customers can come and talk to the Komori press minders to get their view on how well PRO-T works," says Fuji's Northern area manager Tony Talbot, adding, "they can see instantly the return on investment."
Fuji staff were also promoting the new PressMax range of high performance environmentally-friendly pressroom chemistry(see story opposite and p10); two trials of PressMax washes were also agreed at the event.
An unusual aspect of Fuji's demonstrations included the use of PRO-T with UV inks. Although the plate is not qualified by Fuji for this use, the plate is resilient enough to work for very short runs, and thus indicates a likely development direction for the product.
